Forehead and brow lift

Forehead and brow lift can be performed as a part of full facelift or as a separate procedure in which forehead wrinkles are smoothed and eyebrows are lifted and adjusted.

The surgery is performed through incisions made at the hairline of the forehead, so the scars are masked well after they heal. In this clinic, the forehead and brow lift is performed using an advanced endoscopic technique that that allows us to perform the operation through even smaller incisions. The key focus of the surgery is not only to tighten the skin and smooth out wrinkles, but also to lift the subcutaneous layer and muscles of the face. Other procedures, such as eyelid surgery, the injection of various fillers and nose correction, are often performed alongside a forehead and brow lift.

Operation risks

A forehead and brow lift, like any other intervention, can have adverse effects, such as reactions to anaesthesia, postoperative pain, facial swelling, tightness, tissue fluid or blood accumulation, and eye irritation. More rarely patients can experience prolonged bleeding, wound edge separation, wound infection or scar hypertrophy. Other possible complications or adverse reactions should be discussed with the plastic surgeon during a consultation.

Postoperative period

Usually, patients return to work after a week, but it takes about 6 months for the bruises to completely disappear and the scars to finish healing.

The cosmetic effect of a forehead or brow lift can last for years or decades, but to a large extent this depends on the patient's lifestyle.
